Many of the priciest 1/24 and 1/64 sales of October are cars that have already made appearances on top sales of the month, underscoring their continued desirability among collectors. But for the first time, a 1/64-scale diecast is the most expensive sale of the month overall.
Top five 1/24 diecast sales of October
Custom diecast maker gfb00 had a strong selling month in October, including the No. 5 most expensive 1/24 sale of the month.
Several of gfb00’s customs have sold for over $500 the last three months, all of them non-produced Dale Earnhardt cars from the 1970s and ‘80s.
The highest sale among these was Earnhardt’s No. 8 1986 Goodwrench/Wrangler Pontiac Ventura. Earnhardt ran the Pontiac in six of the 11 races in which he competed in the 1986 Busch Series season for Dale Earnhardt Inc. Earnhardt earned wins at Daytona, Rockingham, Darlington and Charlotte in the Ventura. He compiled five wins and nine top fives in the 1986 season splitting time between the DEI Ventura and a Chevrolet.
The custom 1986 Earnhardt custom, made from an Action donor, sold for Oct. 22 for $736 with 15 bids.

This sale price was just slightly more than several other Earnhardt custom rides gfb00 sold recently. Others include The Intimidator’s 1984 Wrangler Pontiac Ventura (sold for $725), an Oldsmobile Omega he ran at Cayuga Speedway in 1983 (sold for $710) and his 1976 No. 07 Hinson’s Construction Co. Nova (sold for $710).
For the second straight month Jeff Gordon’s 2006 Sonoma Raced Win earns the No. 4 spot. The Gordon grail was limited to 687 units and only offered to DuPont employees. One example sold Oct. 15 for $749.99.

Also selling for $750 is the door-number diecast of Kyle Larson’s 2025 Hendrickcars.com throwback in Galaxy Color finish. DIN No. 5 of the 35 Elite Galaxy Color units sold Oct. 28.

At No. 2 is a door number of Tyler Reddick’s 2025 Jordan Brand “Unbannable” scheme run in the 2025 Clash, one of 48 units produced. The scheme pays homage to Michael Jordan being fined $5,000 for every game in which he wore Air Jordans 1s during an NBA game. The door number Elite Gold 1/24 didn’t garner $5,000, but it still sold for a hefty $800.

The priciest sale for October 1/24s belongs to a dual autographed version of Chase Elliott’s 2014 Nationwide Series Homestead Raced Version. Signed by Elliott and crew chief Greg Ives, the battered 1/24 honors Elliott’s 2014 Nationwide championship, which earned him the title of the youngest national series champion. Elliott finished 17th in the Homestead race after capturing the title the week before at Phoenix.
The dual-autographed version sold for $900 with two bids on Oct. 4. Of note, another example sold in June for $1,100.
October continued what has been a theme to the top eBay 1/24 sales of 2025: high-dollar Chase Elliott cars, Elite Gold offerings, cars of all varieties from Earnhardt and Gordon’s 2006 Sonoma Raced Win.

Top three 1/64 diecast sales of October
The top 1/64 sales for October also continued a streak of consistent priciest cars, though this month, a record has been set.
Landing at No. 3 for October is Josh Wise’s 2014 Dogecoin car, making its second appearance on the monthly top sales list this year.
In 2014, redditors of the r/NASCAR community funded Wise’s No. 98 Phil Parsons Racing Ford, a campaign led by a 16-year-old. In less than a week, redditors raised 67 million Dogecoins, which covered the $50,000 sponsorship costs to sponsor No. 98 at the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega. The Dogecoin car appeared in three races in the 2014 season, making it one of the most notable crowd-funded Cup Series sponsorships and, in turn, driving up the desirability of the 1/64 diecast.

A 1/64 Action version of the 2014 Dogecoin car was sold Oct. 7 for $169. In April, another Dogecoin 1/64 sold for $200.
For the fourth time in the last six months, a Red Bull Racing 1/64 lands in the top-three, and this month, cars from the now-defunct team earn the top two spots.
At No. 2 is Brian Vickers’ 2008 Red Bull Car of Tomorrow, in which Vickers earned three top-fives, six top-tens and one pole during the 2008 campaign. The 1/64 sold Oct. 30 for a notable $316 in the box with minimal shelf wear, earning 24 bids.

Despite that impressive sale, it pales in comparison to the most expensive 1/64 sale of October. For the first time since Diecast Mag began tracking 1/64 sales, a 1/64 takes the title for most expensive sale of the month overall.
Earning 20 bids among three bidders, and apparently selling for an incredible $1,010, is AJ Allmendinger’s 2008 Red Bull Racing Toyota. The No. 83 was offered by the same seller of the Brian Vickers 2008 Red Bull Toyota.

The $1,010 apparent sale price earns the distinction of priciest 1/64 sale since Diecast Mag began tracking 1/64 auctions in March. The previous top mark was Alex Bowman’s 2015 Nikko promo, which sold for $326 on June 19.
