The Cup Series returns to the “Lady in Black” this Sunday for the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Sunday’s race is set to begin at 3 p.m. EST. The 293-lap race includes stage breaks at laps 90 and 185.
Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick and Brad Keselowski are in the top-10 all-time list for best average finish at Darlington with among drivers with at least three starts. Hamlin tops the list with an average finish of eight in 27 starts at the “Track Too Tough To Tame.”
Though it’s no longer considered a “throwback weekend,” several teams will run throwback schemes. All RFK cars will sport throwbacks to Greg Biffle, who died in a plane crash in December, and Front Row Motorsports are honoring Bill Elliott and Elliott Sadler schemes. Carson Hocevar’s No. 77 pays homage to Dale Earnhardt, and Erik Jones’ No. 43 honors Wally Dallenbach’s 1994 STP ride.
