March is a notable month for high-dollar sales as the top-five 1/24s all surpassed the $1,000 mark and the most expensive 1/64 commanded $500. Of note, two of the 1/64s earning a spot this month are from Checkered Flag Sports, while several special finishes earn spots on the 1/24 list.
Top-five 1/24 sales of March
A custom Truck Series diecast appeared to set a record for the second-priciest single diecast sold on eBay in 20 months, though that ultimately wasn’t the case.
CS Custom Diecast listed a 2026 Cleetus McFarland Black Rifle Coffee Chevy Silverado, which the YouTuber raced at the season-opening Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona. Originally listed at $200, the custom quickly ballooned in price, eventually earning 90 bids from 16 bidders. When the figurative gavel fell, Cleetus’ custom truck earned an eye-watering sale price of $3,350. However, it appears a few bidders were overzealous, and McFarland’s debut truck was relisted two days later. It still commanded a high price, though, selling for $510 with 25 bids among 11 bidders.

The actual sale price wasn’t enough to land it on the top-five for March, however.
No. 5 for March serves as an example of a predecessor to the modern Elite Gold series, and one of the first Dale Earnhardt Jr. special finish cars produced.
Earnhardt Jr. began his full-time Busch Series career in 1998 driving the No. 3 AC Delco Chevrolet. Driving for Dale Earnhardt Inc., Junior had an incredible debut season earning seven wins, 16 top-fives and 22 top-10s in 31 races. It would mark the first of Junior’s two straight Busch championships.
Action commemorated Earnhardt Jr.’s title-winning season with an Elite 24K Gold 1/24 which was limited to just 100 units. No. 78 in the series sold March 11 for $1,200.

The most recently released diecast rings it at No. 4, Chase Elliott’s 2025 Atlanta (EchoPark) win. Elliott passed Brad Keselowski on the final lap to capture the dramatic win at his home track. Additionally, Elliott’s No. 9 was sporting a special Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta scheme designed by CHOA cancer patient Rhealynn Mills.
Plenty of Raced Win versions of the No. 9 Atlanta winner were released — it was the No. 4 best-selling diecast of 2025 — though just 300 Elite Premier versions were produced. One Elite Premier example sold March 19 for an impressive $1,280.

The first of two Jeff Gordon 1/24s this month appears at No. 3, one that always garners a high sale price, his 2006 Sonoma Raced Win. Gordon earned his 74th Cup Series win, his final at Sonoma, in 2006. However, a Raced Win version was only offered to DuPont employees with just 687 units produced. That in itself has made this diecast a grail for many collectors, but even harder to come by is an autographed version, with hologram, that was even more limited and was only available to purchase through Gordon’s website. An autographed version, effectively a grail of a grail, sold March 5 for $1,500.

Gordon also takes the No. 2 spot with another of his rides from 2006. Gordon was sponsored by DuPont’s Hot Hues paint line for two races that season, with automotive designer Chip Foose creating Gordon’s special scheme. Action released a host of special finishes for the No. 24 Hot Hues Chevy, and among them were 38 Platinum Elite versions. A signed Platinum Elite, with COA, was sold March 18 for $1,900. According to the seller, this autographed Platinum Elite version is one of just three produced, though Diecast Mag has been unable to verify that claim.

The honor for the priciest 1/24 sale is another Dale Earnhardt ride, his 2001 “pre-Sonic” No. 3 signed by Earnhardt, Richard Childress and Danny “Chocolate” Myers. According to the seller, the 2001 Monte Carlo was signed a week before the 2001 Daytona 500 in which Earnhardt died. The 1/24 commemorating Earnhardt’s final car and signed by The Intimidator and two others who were critical cogs in his career sold March 29 for $2,500. This is second-highest 1/24 sale of 2026 so far.

Top-five 1/64 sales of March
Bobby Labonte joined Hall of Fame Racing for the 2009 season, and only Checkered Flag Sports produced diecasts of Labonte’s year driving the No. 96 Ford Fusion COT. Additionally, only one 1/64-scale diecast of Labonte’s was produced that season, his Ask.com No. 96 under CFS’ Contender Series.
CFS COT’s are already desirable among many collectors, and with relatively limited production runs, Labonte’s Ask.com Ford is a difficult 1/64 to find. As such, one example, the only sold on eBay in recent months, sold for $150 on March 4, the fifth most expensive 1/64 of March.

Another non-Action/Lionel car takes the No. 4 spot, Jeff Gordon’s 1996 Racing Champions “Chase” car. Racing Champions’ 1996 Chase 12-diecast lineup included chrome-finish cars with a limited production run of 1,996 units. These hard-to-come-by Gordon cars typically command high prices, evidenced by one example selling in March for $150. This matches the price another collector paid for a different example in December 2025.

Josh Wise’s 2014 Dogecoin No. 98 makes its second straight appearance on the top-five 1/64 list this month. An example of the Redditor-funded scheme for Phil Parsons Racing sold March 22 for $160, slightly less than a version that sold for $180 in February.

The second CFS car this month lands at No. 2, Jeff Green’s 2006 Best Buy No. 66.
Green’s Best Buy 1/64 was produced by both Action/Lionel and CFS, the latter in the company’s Contender Series. Two examples of Green’s No. 2006 CFS 1/64 were sold this month. One was a relative bargain at $90, while an example that sold March 1 commanded an impressive $185.

Topping the list for March, and for the priciest 1/64 sale of 2026 so far, is an extremely hard-to-find promo; the Regan Smith/AJ Allmendinger 2013 Guy Roofing No. 51 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet.
Guy’s Roofing sponsored the No. 51, which returned to full-time Cup Series racing in 2013, for the Daytona 500 with Regan Smith placing an impressive seventh.. AJ Allmendinger also had two appearances in the Guy Roofing Chevy at Phoenix and Bristol with finishes of 11th and 13th.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reported in 2013 Guy Roofing purchased some land from Phoenix Racing as the two shared a border at their respective headquarters in Spartanburg, South Carolina. That led to a friendship between the companies and the eventual sponsor partnership several months later.
To commemorate the partnership, a promotional diecast was produced by Action, a “driverless” car as neither Smith nor Allmendinger were listed on the name rail. Given its promo-only availability, the 2013 Guy Roofing 1/64 has remained highly desirable since it was released, and finding one for sale is uncommon.

Its rarity and desirability were highlighted by one example selling in March for a massive $500. That is the second-highest 1/64 NASCAR eBay diecast sale since Diecast Mag began tracking such sales in mid-2025.
Editor’s note: Several pre-sale custom 1/64s earned numerous pricey bids, including a Carson Hocevar 2026 Chili’s Marg Machine throwback selling for $412. However, these custom pre-orders are not included on the monthly sales list. Only completed customs are eligible to earn a spot in the monthly top-five. Additionally, two 1/64 ADC dirt Late Models driven by Max Blair sold for over $200, but these were not included as they are not affiliated with NASCAR.
