Joe Parker is a nationally award-winning columnist and journalist. He has served as a reporter and editor with several print and online publications. He is a former sports editor, newspaper editor, automotive news editor, and general reporter for several venerable publications. Parker, who lives in metro Atlanta, has specialized in testing and writing reviews for new cars since 2018. Additionally, his humor columns have won several state and national awards.

Like many kids of the time, Parker first found a passion for collecting NASCAR diecasts in the early and mid-1990s with a vast collection of well-played-with 1/24 and 1/64 diecasts. He rediscovered his passion for diecast collecting, and NASCAR, in the early 2010s. After purchasing his first diecast as an adult, Parker became enamored with collecting and the hobby in general. His collection features nearly 200 1/24-scale diecasts (because that’s all he’ll allow himself, for now, anyway) all with the “theme” of cars sponsored by food or drink companies.
