The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Austin, Texas, and Circuit of the Americas Sunday, March 2, for the first road course race of the season. The green flag is scheduled to drop at approximately 3:30 p.m. EST. The race marks the fifth time the Cup Series will visit COTA but the first running the 2.3-mile National Course and not the full 3.4-mile Grand Prix circuit.
Past winners at COTA include Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain, Tyler Reddick and William Byron. The race’s last two winners, Reddick and Byron, started on the front row. Of note, there are no seasoned road course ringers in this year’s COTA race, though Connor Zilisch will make his Cup Series debut while ushering Red Bull back into NASCAR with the No. 87 Red Bull Trackhouse Chevrolet (which is available to order as a diecast).
The COTA field included 37 cars, 16 of which are currently available to order/preorder as 1/24 and/or 1/64 diecasts. This guide will be updated if others are made available to order following the race.
