The Pennzoil 400, scheduled for approximately 3:30 p.m. EST Sunday, marks the fifth race of the 2025 Cup Series season with only two drivers – Christopher Bell and William Byron – winning so far this year. Should Bell win again this Sunday, he will tie Bill Elliott’s modern-era record, set in 1992, of four wins in the first five races of a season.
Joey Logano is the most recent winner at the 1.5-mile speedway. Logano was victorious at the fall 2024 Vegas race to help secure his third Cup Series championship. Kyle Larson is the defending Pennzoil 400 race winner.
The Pennzoil 400 includes 36 entries, all of which are chartered teams, if 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports are still considered chartered amid the teams’ ongoing legal battle with NASCAR. Still, only 10 entries are being produced as diecasts, as of this writing. Some driver/sponsor combinations are available otherwise, however. These include Ross Chastain’s 2025 Kubota ride, which is sporting an “Orange Days Sales Event” special scheme, while Daniel Suarez’s No. 99 Freeway Insurance Chevy sports a blue/white look again this weekend, differing from the all-blue version available as a diecast. Chase Briscoe’s Bass Pro Shops ride is also altered this weekend and features a “Spring Fishing Classic” motif slighlty altered from his standard Bass Pro 2025 scheme currently available to preorder.
Of note, Shane van Gisbergen’s No. 88 Red Bull Chevy makes its debut this weekend. The cars racing Sunday now available as diecasts includes:
