Top five priciest 1/24 sales of May 2026
Four of the five most expensive 1/24s landing on the list are likely due to recent skyrocketing diecast prices of two drivers — Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar. Following Busch’s tragic death on May 21st, prices for Rowdy memorabilia of all varieties has been massively inflated. Busch diecasts occupy three spots this month.
Meanwhile, Hocevar diecasts are still amid surging sales. Landing at No. 3 this month is the door number of Hocevar’s 2025 Delaware Life No. 77 in Elite finish. DIN 77 sold May 3 for $2,175 with 14 bids entered.

At No. 5 is a 1/24 that has appeared, in some form, on the top sales list several times; Chase Elliott’s Nationwide Series 2014 Homestead Raced Version. Elliott captured the Nationwide title the race prior, but the Homestead Raced Version, replete with extensive damage Elliott suffered from a crash during the season finale before placing 17th, cemented his title.
A dual-autographed Elite version, one of 309 produced signed by Elliott and crew chief Greg Ives, sold May 21 for $1,900.

Elliott’s Homestead Raced Version consistently commands top dollar. Two additional dual-autographed versions sold last year for $900 and $1,100. An autographed ARC example sold in July 2024 for $1,425.
Another car that crossed the finish line at Homestead lands at No. 4, Kyle Busch’s 2019 Homestead Raced Win version, which secured Busch his second Cup Series championship.
Busch’s 2019 Cup title was powered by Rowdy securing an incredible 27 top 10s and an average finish of ninth throughout the year. He also led the most laps of all drivers during the season and captured five wins, including the championship-clinching Homestead victory over Martin Truex Jr.
An autographed, Elite version of Busch’s No. 18 M&M’s Camry, complete with what the seller claims is actual confetti from victory lane, sold May 27 for $1,825 with 41 bids.

The runner-up spot in May goes to a 2017 promotional Kyle Busch 1/24.
Busch competed in 10 Xfinity Series races in 2017 for JGR, and as expected of the winningest driver across all NASCAR national series competition, he dominated. Busch compiled five wins, eight top fives and nine top 10s in his ten races. His worst finish was 12th. Busch was sponsored by NOS Energy Drink for all 10 races, with four promoting the NOS Rowdy version. The red and white No. 18 won at Kentucky and Watkins Glen that season.
A diecast version of the NOS Rowdy ride was produced as a promotional exclusive through Busch’s website. The promo 1/24 is a hard find even with a production run of 1,203 units. One version, DIN 506, sold May 30 for an incredible $2,500.

Taking the top spot in an apparently mysterious prototype Kyle Busch truck from 2007.
The No. 15 Silverado, sponsored by the Sound & Speed festival, is apparently one of just four prototypes produced, and it was signed by Busch. The seller notes the Sound and Speed Silverado was never produced. Additionally, it does not appear as if the truck appeared on track, though Busch did compete in 11 races for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the No. 15 that season.
No matter the origin, the 2007 Busch Sound & Speed No. 15 Silverado is certainly a unique piece. As such, it commanded $2,515 when it sold May 24.

Top five priciest 1/64 sales of May 2026
The most expensive 1/64 sales of May include several newcomers to the top five and some relative mainstays.
At No. 5 is a car making its first appearance, the Joe Gibbs Racing 2008 Farm Bureau Nationwide Series Toyota. The promotional diecast did not feature a driver on the name rail, due at least in part to the No. 18 being driven by both Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin that season. Busch piloted the Farm Bureau car in four races in 2008, including a win at Texas and runner-up finish at the summer Daytona race. Busch won 10 races in 30 appearances in the 2008 Nationwide season.
Hamlin drove the Farm Bureau Toyota at the fall Richmond race, earning a fourth-place finish, and had a DNQ sporting the scheme at Darlington.
The nameless promo diecast piloted by two NASCAR greats sold May 16 for $200.

Once again, a Brian Vickers Red Bull car earns a spot on the top-five list, this time at No. 4. Vickers’ 2008 Red Bull Camry sold May for $210 for the No. 4 spot in May. Another version of the same car sold in April for $240. Also this year, Vickers’ 2007 Red Bull Toyota sold for $175 in February, with his 2010 Red Bull commanding $250 the same month.

Vickers appeared in the top-five list more than any other driver in 2025. All his cars appearing in the top sales last year were from his time with Red Bull Racing.
Another repeat appearance comes in at No. 3, Kyle Busch’s 2012 Monster Energy Nationwide promo 1/64, which was offered for free with the purchase of the 1/24 version through Busch’s website. One version sold in May for $250.
Another example (or possibly two) sold in April for $300. Two other versions sold in January for $150 and $160.

A hard-to-come-by Justin Allgaier promotional diecast takes the runner-up spot this month.
Driving for Tuner Scott Motorsports in 2013, Allgaier ran a one-off, Brandt 60th anniversary scheme in the season-opening race at Daytona. The Drive4COPD300 is infamous for its last-lap crash in which Kyle Larson, driving the No. 32 Clorox machine, flew into the fence as the field took the checkered flag. Allgaier, who exited turn four outside the top-10, was caught up in the dramatic crash but crossed the finish line in seventh place.
This came after Allgaier barely escaped a crash on the frontstretch at the midway point.
Commemorating Allgaier’s wild top-10 finish is the Brandt 60 Years promotional 1/64 produced by Lionel. An example of the rare diecast sold May 15 for $250.

A first-timer takes the crown for most expensive 1/64 sale of May, Boris Said’s 2015 Genessee Light No. 32.
A longtime sports car driver and NASCAR road course ringer, Said made two starts a year from 2012-2015 in the Cup Series, all of them at Sonoma and Watkins Glen, with FAS Lane Racing, which merged with Go Green Racing to form Go FAS Racing in 2014.
In 2015, Said’s No. 32 was sponsored by New York’s Genesee Brewing Company for the second straight year at the company’s home track of Watkins Glen. Said drove the No. 32 to a 32nd-place finish at the Cheez-It 355 at the Glen that year.
A promotional 1/64 of Said’s 2015 Genessee Ford Fusion was produced by Lionel. Even at the time of its debut the promotional diecast was hard to come by, and reportedly only available at Watkins Glen and surrounding areas.
It is one of just a few Said 1/64s produced. The others include his 1997 Federated Auto Parts Truck Series No. 44 (Racing Champions), 2004 Durock No. 36 (Racing Champions), 2005 Centrix No. 36 (Racing Champions and Team Caliber) and 2006 Ingersoll Rand No. 9 (Lionel).
As such, these rare promos are hard to find and command high prices when they can be bought. Said’s 2015 Genessee promo sold for $350 on May 18, taking the spot for top 1/64 sale of May.
