Top five priciest 1/24 sales of July 2026

It’s shaping up that 2026 might be remembered, in terms of diecast collecting, as the year of Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar. Following Busch’s tragic death earlier this year and the incredible rise in popularity of Hocevar, diecast from these two drivers have soared in desirability and, as such, pricing. This is evidenced this month by three of the top five priciest 1/24s.

At No. 5 is Kyle Busch’s 2019 Monster Cup Series Champion car. Busch’s second Cup title was secured with an impressive five wins, 27 top-10s and an average finish of ninth throughout the season. Over 900 Elite versions of the Championship car were produced, but of these, just 72 were autographed by Busch and available as a KBM exclusive. One such version sold July 21 for $875.

At No. 2 this month is a diecast celebrating Busch’s first Cup title, specifically an autographed version of his 2015 Homestead Raced Win. One of the 324 autographed versions produced sold for $1,300 on July 1 with three bids entered.

This marks the second straight month Busch’s 2015 Homestead Raced Win diecast has earned a spot on the top five list. In June, one example sold for $1,895.

Carson Hocevar recently joked that even he is having trouble securing Carson Hocevar diecasts as the demand for his 1/24 and 1/64s continues to climb, and he would have had to pay a significant price for one of his earliest diecasts, which lands at No. 4.  

Hocevar completed his rookie season in the Truck Series in 2021 driving for the No. 42 for Niece Motorsports. Hocevar earned three top-fives and eight top-10s in his rookie campaign. One of his top-10s came at the helm of the CircleBDiecast.com No. 42. Hocevar ran the scheme at Bristol, securing a sixth-place finish.

Seventy-two autographed Color Chrome versions of Hocevar’s CircleBDiecast.com scheme were produced. Signed in blue ink, one example sold July 4 for $950.  

Racing Champions diecast aren’t usually noted for their rarity or high prices, particularly banks, but there are some exceptions, including the No. 3 priciest diecast for July.

Racing Champions released a special “Chrome Chase” Jeff Gordon No. 24 Monte Carlo clear-window bank for 1996. The predecessor to the modern color chrome cars was released as a “Premier Edition,” which included an opening hood and engine, features not offered on standard Racing Champions releases.

Just 166 of these Chrome Chase cars were produced, and they are extremely desirable for Gordon collectors. One version went up for sale this month, DIN 66, and sold July 5 for $1,275 with 14 bids entered.

Of note, another version sold last July for $925.

Dale Earnhardt Sr. returns to the top spot in July, with a 1/24 special release in a special finish.

In 2010, Action produced several versions of Earnhardt’s 1988 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. Over 2,000 standard models, 3,205 Elite versions and 641 Color Chrome versions were produced, along with a far more limited run of just 89 Gold versions.

One Gold version, DIN 48, sold July 29 for a $1,400 despite some “rub marks/scratches,” according to the seller, the most expensive 1/24 sold on eBay in July.

Top five priciest 1/64 sales of July 2026

Kyle Busch diecasts continue to garner notable prices following his tragic death earlier this year, and one 1/64 that was already a highly sought-after Rowdy ride earns two spots on this month’s list.

In 2008 Busch ran a one-off scheme for the Dodge Challenger 500 at Darlington, a cross-promotional livery for Mint Crisp M&M’s and the film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Busch went to victory lane that night, securing his third win of the year in just the 11^th race of the season. A Raced Win version was only produced in 1/24 scale, but the “clean” 1/64 has long been coveted by collectors. Two versions of Busch’s 2008 Indiana Jones M&M’s ride sold this month for $160 and $200, the No. 5 and 2 spots on this month’s list, respectively.

This marks a significant increase since one version was sold on eBay last September for $110.

The No. 4 and No. 1 diecast also share a commonality — Red Bull Racing cars driven by Brian Vickers.

Vickers’ 2009 Red Bull No. 83 sold for $160 July 2. Vickers’ 2010 Red Bull ride sold July 13 for $220, the priciest 1/64 sale of the month.

A Vickers Red Bull Racing car has been among the top-five priciest 1/64 sales for five of the seven months of 2026. A Red Bull Racing car from any driver has earned a spot on the list all but one month so far this year.

At No. 3 this month — and No. 6 were the list extended — is a commemorative Dale Earnhardt 2001 Winner’s Circle 1/64.

In 2001, Winner’s Circle released the Intimidator’s Goodwrench ride under various “collections.” These included carded 1/64s with different inserts, including a replica hood, miniature license plate, card, or “Team Authentics.” The latter included pieces of a used Earnhardt uniform set into a card.
