NASCAR is set for a completely novel event this weekend as all three national series will run races at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California. The Cup Series will take on the 16-turn, 3.4-mile course with a scheduled start of 4 p.m. EST Sunday. The 75-lap race includes stage breaks at laps 20 and 40.
To mark the occasion, many teams are running special patriotic or military-inspired themes this weekend. Additionally, Jimmie Johnson, driving the No. 84, and Kevin Magnussen in the No. 91, will start.
