The ongoing United States and China tariff battle will have NASCAR diecast collectors paying notably more out of pocket for both 1/24 and 1/64 scale Raced Win diecasts.. Additionally, price increases for other diecasts are likely to be announced soon.

Lionel Racing, which has exclusive rights to produce NASCAR diecasts, announced the additional price less than two weeks after announcing a five-percent “tariff surcharge” on items ordered after March 7.

“Because we sell items on a pre-order basis, we have adjusted the price of Race-Win die-cast,” a letter from Lionel Racing said. “This new pricing will be implemented for all new Race Win pre-sell items beginning Sunday, April 6 and moving forward. Race-Win items offered prior to April 6 will still incur the tariff surcharge.”

The price increase percentage on Cup Series Raced Win diecasts depends on the scale and finish, with most around 15 to 20 percent higher. As of April 7, price increases have not been announced for Truck Series or Xfinity Series diecast.

The prices for Cup Series Raced Win diecasts are as follows:

1/24 ARC: $99.95

1/24 ARC metallic numbers: $104.95

1/24 Raw and Color Chrome: $109.95

1/24 Raw and Color Chrome metallic numbers: $114.95

1/24 Elite: $155

1/24 Elite metallic numbers: $165

1/64 Gold: $12.5

1/64 Gold metallic numbers: $13.75

These prices do not include the additional five-percent tariff surcharge, which will be added to the final price of the diecast.

The current price increases only impact Raced Win diecast, though other finishes could soon be subject to hikes.

“It is our expectation that additional pricing changes will be announced next week,” the statement said.

Tariffs have already impacted retailers. Spoiler Diecast announced it is suspending its free shipping in response to the tariff charges it now faces.

CircleB Diecast noted in a statement the company is “making every effort to avoid transferring the tariffs imposed on us to our retail customers,” adding it has kept current pricing and shipping rated for items received in its latest shipment.

“Should these tariffs continue to rise or persist over the long term, adjustments may become necessary,” CircleB’s statement said. “However, for the time being, we will keep everything unchanged.”
